Come on - I just hit search and put in "V Festival" and there it was near the bottom of the page.
Sigh.
Sid,
I posted on 3rd, the other post thread that you refer to was started yesterday. I did do a search but nothing came up.
Perhaps you could let me know where I should have posted? shop but dont drop? discount codes and voushers? I really wasn't sure and it is a grabbit as only available to virgin customers for 3 days. I have seen other presale links on grabbit.
My post was answered and would have been lost in the ether if people like you didn't keep appointing yourselves teacher, by telling me off you have bought it back to the to the front page. :rolleyes:0 -

Main onsale is 10am tomorrow - so the 9am is a presale and password will be required, if your on the muse mailing list you should get an email tonight with the password in it.
Be very useful if you could share it via a PM :T

Anyone else planning to queue outside Chelmsford Civic Theatre tomorrow?0

We live in Cannock - we know from experience that the the traffic queues are HORRENDOUS for up to 20 miles around the V Festival site at Weston ParK (local press had reports of 5 hour queues to reach Weston Park along the A5 from M6 J12 on the Friday). The police also block off some of the M6 exits (eg J13 southbound) so that makes it even worse when trying to plan a route if you don't know the area. But here's a suggested way to avoid some of them -at least if you are travelling from the north.
If travelling from the North (M6) exit at J14 (Staffod North) - follow the A5013 west towards Eccleshall then turn off onto the B5405 at Great Bridgeford until it meets the A519 - follow the A519 til it meets the A41 - then follow the A41 southbound and you'll arrive at the A5 to the west of Weston Park (have a look on a map to see the details). Presumably you'll still encounter queues where the A41 meets the A5 eastbound but there doesn't seem to be anywhere near so much traffic heading for the site from the west.
It works - last year we were trying to travel from Cannock to Wales on Friday afternoon (v.bad planning)- we would normally go westbound along the A5 or the M54 but westbound traffic was at an absolute standstill - so we followed the local backroads and got on the M6 at J13 (Stafford South) and headed north up the M6 - got off at J14 and followed the above route - it's a long way round but we saw hardly any traffic (certainly nothing that resembled V fans en route). Yet we ended up within about 4 miles of the site before we turned off the A41 and continued our journey via Telford towards Wales.
Please, please check the details on a map before following this route - but hope it helps at least a few fans avoid a frustrating start to their weekend. Sadly my festival days are but a distant memory...0 -
