Hello to anyone who had trouble with the now defunct TMR earlier this year whose speciality was the cash back that never came back!
Well it seems our old friends may be back in business as I just receive an e-mail from a company called clubmobile whose ad starts off 'You are receiving this email because you have subscribed to it at MobileRepublic. Unsubscribe instructions at the base of the email.'
Obviously, they are using the old customer/address lists.
Did anyone ever get any refunds???
Geoff.

No cashback, but managed to get the contract terminated early through the air time provider.0 -
Clubmobile have been trading for quite a number of years now so I don't think it's TMR in a different guise.
I never bought a phone from TMR but had bought accessories and they never sent them on time, there always seemed to be a problem. They used to have stuff on their site that they didn't have in stock but tell you it was!0 -
>:( OH yes i remember this company, but one i must add i would rather forget, no i didnt receive any money from them and had a really hard time trying to get vodafone to cancel the contract, after several letters to them and the debt collecting agency they had refered my account to i finally managed to get them to see sense, but it took me a good few months.
I had also heard that a company had set up a few months before TMR actually admitted that they were going bust, also in Croydon very near to their previous office/buildings. :-X::) I posted the information about it on the previous Mobile Republic link sometime ago, might be worth a look if you get a mo to search through.
