Worried First Time Buyer - In Too Deep?

dont want to put a downer on your house buy but it sounds like you really can't afford to buy it and live.
speaking from experience i am just about to complete on my sale due to the fact i stretched myself too far and have now had to sell my dream home because i would have lost it in another 3 months as just can't afford it.
the amount of stress this has caused me has made me ill and nearly cost me my marriage.
i really would reconsider if you think you won't be able to afford much else than mortgage etc and have to sit in rather than have a social life.
a house isn't no good to you if your so skint you can't enjoy life0 -

When we bought ours (five and a half years ago) there was talk of a possible HPC, but it didn't worry me, I knew we would be here a long time.
However I wouldn't do it now, prices are too inflated and the chance of a big drop too great. Timing, its all timing.... and hindsight of courseFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
