o2 upgrade before 12months

Hi, I am on o2 online 50 i get 50 anytime mins + 500 texts. My upgrade date is not untill the end of October, is there anyway I can upgrade my handset quicker without having to buy the phone sim free or take out a new contact?

a handset upgrade pretty much always comes with a new contract, otherwise there is no point for the supplier(though I'm sure they'd love to give you a spanking new phone free for your loyal service for the next couple of months on a relatively low tarrif
)
At best you could, pay up teh contract and start a new one witha new number, or port out and cancel then take a new contract within the next month0
