Drive Assist - 50/50 claim problem

Reread all your posts on credit hire.
According to your opinion there are no problems, no question of customers getting big bills, and generally it's a rosy garden.
Whatever you might say, that isn't a balanced view on this murky part of the "ambulance chaser" side to the insurance claim business.
Plenty of other problems across the net - though as you are closely linked to credit hire companies you know that!
Quentin
Not at all, undoubtedly with all businesses across any sector their will be customers who feel aggrieved and will post this on the net. However far, far,far more receive a satisfactory service but wont be as keen to post on the net.
Its up to you and others to decide what you make of credit hire operators, but in my opinion they are not the crooks and monsters people on here would have you believe.0 -
So all of the many people who had the problem with DA were they claimed the vehicle was damaged when it was not (This was acknowledged as being a problem by DA when they featured on Watchdog and promised to correct it and as you can see from the posts that keep coming in the other DA thread).
Take the time to read this thread and the links

Do you have any comments about this person's experience of credit hire? http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=75259&m=866715&v=e
Credit Hire does have it's uses but it is very very important that the possible financial implications are spelt out very clearly to potential customers. I've seen many many people where the credit hire companies tell the customer it's a courtesy car and do not mention it could possibly cost them money. I would also like the credit hire company to spell out the other options to a customer such as that they can hire a car at their own cost or approach the other Insurer for a hire car (Which has no risk).
Everyone in the industry is aware of the extra days that are often added to credit hire periods (Especially when they need to hit certain targets).0 -

You won't tell us your connection, but you seem to have one with them!
Anyway, what's all this about you pretending you don't know what dacouch is going on about regarding the post you have removed.
What are we to think about someone who removes a post then when asked about it replies:Christopher7 wrote:Not sure, which post are you referring too?
Just how many posts could he be referring to??0 -

I am not here to argue, and i simply thought my response would cause upset so i thought better of it. Simple.0 -
There is no problem with recommending people have a credit hire, it's just best to explain any potential problems and other options available to them. You no doubt have knowledge of the industry that could help some of the MSE posters on here. We get a fair few that have disagreements with CR companies so hopefully you may be able to help them out when they are getting a raw deal
Quentin and I deal with the general public all day and they do not always realise the possible problems. Unless someone explains how credit hire works there general view is normally "Whoopee I have a brand new car to drive around in until further notice at no cost"
DM Saver was intelligent enough to question the person she spoke to and then made a decision that it was not for her. The majority of the motor customers I handle would not have the knowledge to ask questions and would just accept it.0
