While walking down the local high street today, I thought I'd have a quick look in Superdrug to check up on their 3Pay PAYG handset prices. I couldn't believe what I saw. They are currently selling NEC E313 handsets for only £10 if you also purchase a £15 calltime voucher and a £5 add-on voucher with it - total package cost is £30.
Okay, so the box has "refurbished" printed on it, but I have been assured that they are just handsets that have been returned under the no quibbles guarantee. For what it's worth, I have one of these babies here in front of me and it's in 100% pristine condition.
What's more, because this handset is refurbished, the vouchers with this phone are not preloaded onto the phone - they are provided in the form of 2 receipts with voucher codes printed on them. Therefore, you could give them away as presents if you want to.
Cunning money-saving tip
If you, your partner, or your kids already possess a 3Pay PAYG phone then you could view this deal as a very effective and very cheap alternative to handset insurance. Simply use the vouchers as normal with your existing phone and SIM card and put the handset and spare SIM card at the back of your cupboard in case of an accident/theft/failure with your current handset. What's more, as the handset's only cost you £10, there's no need to worry about the handset devaluing with time.

Yes...but £10?
I've never seen any PAYG handset this cheap ever.
Granted, you have to buy the credit - however, for existing 3Pay PAYG customers, the handset really does cost them £10 as they will no doubt be purchasing top-up vouchers at some point in the next 3 months anyway.
cheers,

Seeing as it's an NEC, the chance is probably a big fat zero.0 -
We were in Superdrug Paisley today and saw the Motorola A835R PAYG for £40, when we asked whether this was an upgraded modle the chappie said , "No, the R is for Refurbished - people who had traded in their contract phones"
They may be as big & heavy as a brick, but they are great fun.
Also they will be doing the LG 8120 cheap in the near future, round about £65 PAYG.0 -

LG U8120 is a nice phone and can be unlocked0 -
£10 cheapest PAYG ever. Maybe, maybe not.
Back in mid 2003 I ordered a NEC e808 from "CPW" for £10 on their "3togo" tariff which was like virgin ie no monthly rental, call charges only, although it was a direct debit contract.
A few days later I heard superdrug were offering them free - and wandered into a store and signed up, free, no monthly rental.
I then got a £10 voucher from CPW as a price-match!
cr*p phone, but a toy I had some fun with, and did use for nearly a year before selling one on ebay which funded a better A835 (other kept as spare)What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0
