  • Freezing cold here - I have Raynauds so whenever it's cold my fingers and toes tend to get painful and change colour!

Still panicking about finding £50 or £60 for the work day out on Friday and face a walk / cycle to the Airport in the morning as I can't even afford the bus fare so with anything luck I'll get seperated from the crowd in Dublin and get to just go cheap window shopping rather than eating out / putting in to the drinks kitty when I don't drink / going round a brewery / boat tours..................Going to be very expensive I fear.

Anyway of not going? I was the same this weekend. Spent way to much on Saturday. However that will be me till the end of the month. Next three weekends will be quiet working ones. Only out for a few pints on the Sunday nights. That is one luxury I couldn't give up:beer:

Sorry to hear about the bed situation Mrs S - you'd think they'd check that kinda thing wouldn't you

I got rudely awoken by the return of my laptop at 9.30am this morning after finally getting back to sleep from waking at half 5 - grr. So overslept and now can't get a doctor's appointment for them to fill in a stupid form to say I'm sick for uni, even though uni already have one.
I'm starting to wish I'd taken the break...

Mrs S, I hope they manage to find a bed - what a nightmare.

I'm glad a few others have snow too, I was beginning to think I had imagined it!

Gemmzie - the doctor will most likely be able to backdate your sicknote if you don't go until tomorrow - can you go back to bed and try to get some more sleep hun?

I've got uni tomorrow and then I'm up there (60 miles away) for two days. The stupid form has to be in on the 5th so got no chance now, which means I fail the module :( I don't know why I bother.

Ahh no gem really. Does that mean you fail your uni course? Is tehre anyway you cna get a cancellation this afternoon? Or maybe you can ring teh docs and stress the importance of it and they can get the note ready for you to collect this afternoon without having an appointment? Or do you need an appointment?

I was going to suggest just ringing the doctors for a note too - or ringing the uni and explaining the situation - don't give up yet hun (((hugs))).

I think it's just that one module, so I suppose I'd retake it in the summer

They only do emergencies in the afternoon, one of the downsides of living down here the number of "heavy users" of the doctors is massive.
I've tried, they aren't interested, I only need something saying yes they are treating me still. I think I'm just gonna have to send the form off to uni without the med form and see what happens.
