Taxes will now rise to make us all pay to reverse all the stupid schemes of all the muesli eating,sandal wearing tree hugging,government/lottery funded idiots who make a good living telling us to unplug our phonechagers while they are on a free flight to brazil to check out the natural habitat of the greater crested newt and how they can apply it to the london olympic venue

I'm sure the IPCC will come up with an explanation of why this drop in temperature is actually a symptom of global warming. After all, their jobs depend on it.

In the interests of accuracy, I feel obliged to point out that it is the lesser crested newt that is the subject of the nine man study team.

Well, this is fox news....

Actually it's quite possible that areas could be getting cooler, for instance I think the Antarctic snow cover is due to increase (ironically this is possibly due to the ozone hole!)

However, global warming doesnt mean everwhere gets warmer, it says that on average the planet will be warmer.

But hey, we could all be ostriches and assume fox news and not the IPCC and the vast majority of scientists are correct

My favourite question when I see this stuff is so what??, where is the harm in us pulling in our belts, reducing our consumption of fossil fuels, even if we are massively wrong, we'll have created a bunch of tech that allows us to be more sustainable going forward. We will run out of oil eventually, and if we dont have enough alternate techs then we are going to be in deep doo doo

I have just Googled "planet is getting warmer" and got 900,000 hits.

I then Googled "planet is getting cooler" and got 1,280,000 hits.

It must be true....................

Ok, lets put things into perspective here. This is only 1 years data and no conclusions can be drawn from it alone. On the other hand this could be the start of a trend which, if it continues, could demonstrate that the suns activity has more to do with global warming than the IPCC could have you belive. IF this is the case we could save billions of pounds trying to manipulate the whether via our TV standby buttons etc. The money saved could then be used to address other problems around the world.
