switching to a BT line so I could get UK Online for £9.99
Telewest matched it for 12 months on a 12 month contract.

Got 1Mb for £14.99 on restricted download 1Gb. Was told that capacity limit is not currently enforced and there would be no problem if I go over the limit anyway from time to time.Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I'm currently on 2Mb Telewest and paying £35 per month. Also have phone line @ £10 and Starter TV Package @ £5.50 so I guess I should give em a ring.
dealseeker - Did they tell you your 1Mb was restricted because of the price reduction - I couldn't do with d/l caps, I probably d/l 30gig+ per week.

DO I assume that you have been with them for a while or was the offer part of a sweetener to encourage you to join them?
I have been offered the starter plus 512k connection for £15 which is standard deal with them at the moment and would prefer the 1mb conneciton if I could get it but as I don't have anything yet I was wondering whether they would do any special deals if i join,Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
W1zz, I'd definately give them a call. They knocked £10 off my monthly £35 2MB when I threatened to move to Bulldog. I know that I'm far too far away from our exchange to get anything above 1Mbit but they don't know that! :cool:0

Yes I have been with them for more than 12 months. Any new rates they offer are valid for the next 12 months but its not a new contract and you could choose to leave at any time. Hence, they pull out the stops if they think you might leave.Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
