Condensing Boilers

How can I tell if my condensing boiler is working correctly ? Should it always work in 'condensing' mode?
Thanks.

A condensing boiler will only work in condensing mode with a return water temperature less than 45 Deg C or so. To maximise the efficiency from the boiler you will have to set the water setpoint temperature at around 55 Deg C. Most conventional boilers are set to operate between 70-80 DegC. Ideally you should have larger radiators to compensate for the lower flow temperatures.
Hope this helps.0
