We always stay at the Premier Inn on Morrison street. It's always clean and is in walking distance of the centre.2022 wins: PS5 bundle, SSD drive, luxury truffles
Debt free and intending on staying that way!0 -
Apex International is nice. If you turn up just at check in time you may be upgraded if your room isnt ready yet.
I booked a regular double room and was upgraded to one of their best rooms with a balcony looking up to the castle.
The beds are massive and very comfy, their complimentary toiletries are very nice too.
You also get to keep the rubber duck in the bathroom as a momentoe!
You can take CDs/DVDs too if you like as they have a DVD player and you also get free use of an electronic safe with your own pin number,0 -
If you know any Police officers get them to book you into The Police Club hotel in the city centre!10

Hi
We stayed at Ten Hill PLace and were very pleased. Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. We got a much better price by booking with (I think) HotelClub rather than the hotel directly. :beer:0 -

I must go and have a look at that hotel as my daughter was born there when it was Simpsons :j
I was through town yesterday and obviously being a Sunday it was fairly straight forward on the bus even going up Lothian Road so I wouldn't worry too much about the roadworks as there are extra bus stops all marked in Princes Street and although my daughter got confused this morning as to where to get her bus she came home with a map which shows where the new routes and bus stops are.
To the OP enjoy your stay wherever it may be
If you do end up at the Apex in the Grassmarket, this website gives you restaurants etc...
http://www.grassmarket-edinburgh.com/ and of course check out the Scotland Board for links to what to do and where to eat.0 -
