Been up for an hour and managed to do nothing:o Made OH lunch and sent him on his way, since then have been glued to this seat:rotfl:
Started on the kitchen last night(study avoidance:o ) so got a bit of a head start. Was absolutely pooped last night, fell asleep halfway through a programme i really wanted to see:mad: Hopefully it will be repeated, it was the Stephen Hawking programme, anyone know if they will be showing it again
Channel 4 usually repeat things on E4 or More 4, but I dont see any listings for it this week. You can get Channel 4 on Demand. You just download programmes you want to see. Most of the programmes are free and you get 50p from Quidco. I think they tend to charge for the American programmes.0 -

Really getting into the swing of this now, and quite enjoying it really! (I must phone the doctor - I must be ill :rotfl:) It's 10.30 and I've done everything on the list bar the mopping the kitchen floor and checking the WM filter for the missing sock.
Hung out washing from yesterday, though I don't know how much it will dry - my hands nearly snapped off with the cold!
Towels washed and in TD
Clothes in WM
Emptied DW
Portioned out beans which I cooked last night, and put them in freezer
DD1 is in bed atm. I let her have the day off as she had a really bad night's sleep last night, and there's nothing too important that she can't have the day off - double games, life skills (!!!!!! is that all about?), art, maths (we have some brilliant PC-roms she can use to catch up)
Waiting to see if the plumber arrives today. One of the loos is blocked.
Have dinner planned for tonight - easy sausage casserole and chocolate fudge pudding (Thriftlady's I think).
Once I've caught up on MSE I think I'll go and read. I have about 6 books on the go atm

that was a short day - home before my working day had officially started. DS poorly again, and nursery were a bit snotty with me about the fact he is still ill and i sent him back. Oops. Like i want my child to suffer through nursery if i thought he was genuine poorly. I could have moaned back as official policy is they will deal with 3 soiled nappies before sending them home, and they only did 2 before calling me. Think they are wanting another week of being paid £26 a day with no work to do.
I've made a Dr's appointment for him at 11:20. Will see what profound advice i can get there, as this is day 10 of the bug, and i thought he would be fine now providing i could get some solid food down his neck.
It's a real nightmare the Drs as well at the moment as they are rebuilding it in the car park basically, so access to it is poo. I will have to park at the supermarket and do a 10 minute uphill walk with the buggy. Reminder to self - go in to the supermarket and pick up some bread so i can eat today.
anyway, i will enjoy my day with DS, and try to get some stuff done while at home for the day.
serena i am sure your mum will settle and end up more comfortable than at the hospital
pigpen happy birthday to your baby boy. 9 is so grown up indeed.
Anyway, best start sorting some nappies to take out with us. DH has helpfully got the made up nappy bag in the boot of his car still from Saturday. Grrrrr.
See you later girls!0 -
Morning.
Happy Birthday little pigpen! Hope he has a good day.
I have little ones parents evening tonight. I made it tonight cause they have selections of school dinners on the Tues one and last years were scrummy!
I know they are doing ok, dd1 not really very interested in school, would rather play! She is 6 and taking her sats in May - how scarey is it when 6/7 year olds have to take exams! First parent evening for little one she's 3. Started nursery at the school in Jan and absolutely loves it. Wants to go all day - I wish!!!! only joking
Got all of my list apart from paper sorting done last night and I also made bread on top of that, so was v pleased with myself.
I am going home from work today to have tidy round upstairs as rubbish bin day tom and then once I've picked dd2 up from school I can go back home and hoover. Then back to pick up dd1, drop them both at nannies, back to school for parent thing, pick them up and home for tea!!! Never ends does it.
DD1 started the recorder last week. Her friend told her mum that dd1 was the best in the group and she's the youngest in the class!!!! She will be chuffed when I tell her. She wants me to buy a recorder so I can practise with her. Might just get one.
Anyway, babbled enough, have a good day everyone, don't do too much!
I need to find a recipe for Steak and Ale/Kidney Suet Pudding, anyone got a good one?Need to sort my life out! :T0 -

Both!
Oh dear Michelle, sorry to hear Charlie still isn't right, 10 days is a long time, hope you get some advice at the GPs. That's a long time for a little one to be poorly with the risk of dehydration being high.
Oh did I mention we've actually had a roofing company out who are actually sending someone out with ladders to look at the roof properly! We now have a tile off aswell. First ones to say 'Can't see what needs doing from down here will send someone with ladders' :rolleyes:One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
