Sainsburys Beef

Options
dont know if this is in the right place but i am really annoyed bought a joint of beef from sainsburys costing £11 which i think is expensive but thought i would cook a nice meal as the family was coming to lunch wrapped it in foil cook as per instructions to my horror the meat pan was full of what looked like water not meat jucies, unwrapped the meat to find the smallest joint ever it had shrunk to quarter of the size it was before cooked!!!! we ended up have one small peice of meat each and that was it, it was full of veins and was tuff as old boots i am really disappointed what a waste of money!!!

call them on their phone number - did you keep the packaging so that they can trace it

they might give you something back in nectar points

most joints are plumped up with water and will shrink to some extent - i dont know how big the joint was originally so i cant say without examination - which is hard now
  • Perhaps one should had gone to their local butcher! I cannot remember the last time I bought a so called meat joint from the supermarket.

I bought some of their Jamie Oliver 28day matured filet about 18 months ago and it was tough as old boots - sent it back with packaging and they refunded the cost and postage
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

i would have gone to the butchers to be honest, call the sainsburys number and say you expected a joint costing £11 to not be tough, i would have thought you would get something back for it,
