    Hi Sally

they look a bit bare, don't they, but not too worry between us all we will sort it out..

This is what I would do:

Stick the rings and bow on cream card (the card itself is cream isn't it?) because the rings are the focal point of the card. Then mount it on silver or gold mirror or shiny card and then mount it again on the burgundy, double matting makes things look classy, I think . Then do that again with the "wedding invitation" *double matting" and stick under the rings, or just the wording on its own in the right bottom corner, if that makes sense. I do like the ribbon down the side or you can put the ribbon down the middle and mount everything on top of it. If you want more explanation, just ask. I am sure others will come along with other suggestions soon

Sometimes the simpler the better..............you could add some peel off around the edge just to add that extra 'something'

Simple is good, especially if you have to do loads but you need a focal point, the rings in this case and they are a bit lost on the card with the bow and the words standing out.
Sally what kind of materials do you have and what equipment? Or do you just want to use peel offs, or just the rings? If you give us more info we can help you more. I think the ribbon is lovely and gives something extra to the card.

    Hi Mumoftwo

Thanks so much for your help and advice - it's much appreciated.

Ok, here's another two attempts - lol

    P1010692.jpg

    P1010693.jpg

The cream card I used is a lovely soft shimmery gold/cream colour. The card itself is size A6 and is white.

I have heart punch, bell punch (a bit too little though IMO) lovely tiny hearts as you can see in the one with the three hearts. The burgundy card is really thick and has a faint line down it.

I don't really want to use peel offs, as I find them really fiddly to work with.

Someone in this thread kindly sent me some instructions on how to print straight onto the card but I'm still trying to suss that out yet! lol

    Arrrrgh!!

I've finally got around to starting my friend's invites and I decided I wanted to keep them nice and simple - however, I think they're too simple, plus they're only size A6 cards, I think I should have chosen A5 - but hey ho.

Has anyone any ideas what I can with these?

This is what they look like at present:

I've not measured accurately or anything yet, as I just wanted to see what the rough sample would look like - colours etc! lol

The cream card with "Wedding Invitation" is a soft shimmery card with supposedly burgundy writing!

    Hi Sally

What I think I would do is stick the rings onto a small square of cream card, mount that onto a piece of the burgandy card, stick onto the card blank with 3D foam pads and add the wording at the bottom. I would make the burgandy border around the cream card quite thin. Personally I wouldn't add the ribbon down the side as I think it makes the card look busy but I do love the colour. Good luck :D

    Hi Rainmac

Thanks a lot - I like the ribbon but don't think I'll use it seeing as it's a pain to do - lol

I need to make 150, so trying to keep it as straightforward as I can.

Keep the suggestions coming - pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease

The flowers down the side are embossed by..
you guessed it: my Cuttlebug! ;) the other flowers are just on a piece of paper from a pad by Papermania called "Ivory black creative tones"
I just added gems to give it some depth.

Sally, those other cards look much better. I still think the rings should be the focal point. I feel at the moment that the wording stands out and like Rainmac said a tiny burgandy border is nicest.

Ok, last attempt for tonight, what about this:

    P1010695.jpg

    P1010694.jpg

Actually, I'm beginning to think the cream shimmery card isn't a good idea, seeing as the cards are white?

God, looking at them now, they look all uneven, but I promise I'd cut them properly when the time comes for the real thing! lol

    What do you think?
