Thanks Melissa - that ribbon is divine, and thankfully I used a lot less of it than I thought I would, so have 2 and a half rolls left - hurrah! In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0

Evening all,
Here are my first attempts at homemade birthday cards (inspiration for layout designs from mad about cards website):
Dad's birthday (this week):
I just noticed after uploading this that the stripes on the candle are a bit wonky - I've now fixed them!
Sister's birthday (next week):
Mum's birthday (also this week!):
Costs as follows:
10 blank cards and envelopes 1.49 (The Works)
12 pack corrugated card sheets 1 pound (PoundLand)
20 sheets of metallic foil sheets 1 pound (PoundLand)
20 sheets of foam 99p (The Works)
2 packs of embellishments 49p per pack (Tesco Clearance Sale - now on!)
50 large sheets of various handmade papers 9.99 (The Works)
2 large bottles of glue glitter 1 pound (PoundLand)
I was thinking of making a batch for Christmas - however I have so many to send that I've decided to take a funky family Christmas photo on my new digital SLR and then play around with it on PhotoShop and then take it to a printers to professionally print up cards. I'll have to look around for some good deals."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
