You may have noticed that recently, when you quote a post - a little white arow appears to the right of the user name in the quote box.
I have no idea if this is a serendipitous bug, or an unexpected enhancement.
It's actually quite useful - because it works!
It takes you to the post concerned, so in busy threads when someone might be quoting from a page or more back (and especially if they've cut out everything except the bit they want to answer to) - this means that you can pop back and see the post in its original context (and in full if edited).
So... erm...

If you quote a post from another thread it very cleverly also takes you to that thread
