Cheap Broadband - not tied in for 12 mths. WOW!
Hi everyone,
I have just registered for Virgin Broadband. It has a fantastic price of only £17.99/mth with a wonderful connection speed of 512K.
NOW the best part....... . Incredible, [glow=red,2,300]NO CONTRACT[/glow]
However there is one downside, but only for a few people...... You get 3GB Max download thereafter £2/GB.
This has to be the best Broadband deal to date.
Great for someone who wants to try broadband but is unsure whether its worth it. Believe me, its worth going for broadband!

PS. free activation and only £9.99 for a modem(limited offer)

.Hope this is helpful!.
These are approximate.
1GB = surfing the net 2 hrs a day,sending 30 photos via email, receiving 30 photos via email, 5 music tracks a week,downloading video clips 5 x 2min clips a week, 2 hrs a week listening to radio online,sending 100 emails a week, receiving 100 emails a week.(no attachments).
You can do all these activities above, not just one. So, if you just surf you will be able to it for a lot longer.0 -

its ok but if you do the maths its still not as good as the deal at e7even.com or efhbroadband.com. plus these are unlimited bandwidth, and offer no long term contract either.

Jav,
having just looked at one of the deals you refer to at e7even, its says £16.66 a month for 12 month, what am i missing ??? surely that means i'm tied into a 12 month contract :-/ and with efhbroadband the price states £16.99 per month. £69.99 setup. Ex VAT, how does that work out to be better than virgin, i understand as you say there is no cap on download but i guess to some people (including me) 3gb would be more than sufficient :-/ however that said , no disrespect to any of these companies but i have never heard of these companies :-[ and i have virgin that in itself would get my vote rightly or wrongly. Please correct me on anything i may have wrong has i said i'm not very clued up with alot of this stuff but am more than happy to learn/take advice from someone more informed than I.Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

silly qusetion may be
would i have to have a phone line in the room where i need broadband with this sort of offer
i want to move my computer to different room which doe not have phone line, ntl offer a new line but i am not convinced about their custome service
will go for this deal may be0 -
You can use a splitter and run an extension cable from wherever your phone socket is into the room where your PC & modem are.
If that is not practical you can buy a wireless modem router for about £70. This would go next to your phone socket and connect wirelessly to your PC once you have added a wireless PCI card to your PC.

It may also be worth looking at Metronet.
I believe that their minimum term is 3 months and you pay £11.75 per month for 200 mb on the 512 service.
I am with them and have only once gone over my limit and it cost me about £1 extra that month for another 200 mb.
They also do faster speeds on the pay as you go tarrif.0 -
ok let me explain how you can save a packet. If you sign up to e7even at the mo, you can get 6 months unlimited broadband (only contracted to 3) and a decent £75 modem router all for £118 quid. So bearing the cost of the modem it works out about 43 quid for 6 months. now this includes the connection fee and member ship fee of £55. So effectively you kinda getting 6 months service for free. Then if your clever about it after the 6 months is up instead of staying and paying for their standard charge per month you can transfer to another unlimited survice say v21.co.uk (or maybe efhbroadband.com?)for just £10 (some isp even offer free trasfers!), doing this means you dont have to pay the adsl activation fee of approx £70, this is also a no ties contract! And you'll be able to get the first 2 months for 9.99 a month then the standard £16.99. So overall it works out a lot cheaper than 17.99 per month, and you get a decent free modem and are not limited to a 3GB bandwidth limit! Even without the modem its a good deal. Again having no contract means you can swap to another company anytime i.e. whoever has a good rate!. Hope this is clear, its simply really and a bloody good way to get cheap broadband. They call me Mr Pig!0

Ok for those who are confused, heres an example in lamens tems:
1. Virgin Deal (3GB Limit) = £17.99 x 12 = £215.88 for 12 months
2. E7even deal (Unlimited) = £118 (for 6 months) + £10 (v21.co.uk transfer charge @ month 6) + £19.98 (introductory offer for two months) then say 16.99 x 4 (for remaining 4 months to a full year) = £215.94 for 12 months
So if you do it like this example (it could be cheaper depending on offers out over the next year) it works out just 6p more for the year but you get a free decent £75 modem and unlimited bandwidth! It’s easy when you know how.
and my offer still stands, those who use my referal code (703851) when signing up will have £10 sent back to them! They call me Mr Pig!0
