I have been to both and didnt like either...sorry...they are just beach holidays and nothing to see but thats just my opionion.
    I much prefere Lanzarote
I agree with Demented..Algarve was way over priced
Menorca is lovely so are the Greek Island (apart from Rhodes and Kos)
Everyone as thier own opinion on holidays destination and no one can choose for you ...its just a case of search the net till something jumps out and say "come stay with me "
I cant reccomend this place enough http://ie.xl.com/holidays/abroad/greece/santorini/KAMARI/accom-31798/ but again only my opinion
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

As i am only goign for 7 days just want to find somewhere with nice beaches and a quiet evening with plenty of places to go eat!

any information on menorca will be great

p.s is there a big nightlife scene in menorca?

Went to Alvor in the Algarve & was lovely - but I won't go back to Portugal til its government sorts out their attitude to paedophiles and sets up a sex offenders register

Menorca is a totally different holiday to the Algarve - we went to both last year. Menorca is a lot quieter, not a lot nightlife and no very large resorts, whilst we aren't really beach people most we saw were in quiet coves - great if you like to just sit there, not too good if you like long walks along beaches.

One of the largest resorts is Cala n Bosch, which we visited for as a long as it took to drive round. Signs for English pubs, curry houses and union jack towels hanging over balconies put us off immediately.

Corralejo for me any time. Agree with Saveapenny about Arion Bay - we will be there in May!

  • Hi my husband and I went 3 years in a row and my parents go at least once a year to Corralejo. If you want a beach holiday its great but if you want scenery etc then try Menorca, you can book flights separately thru airline like T Cook or Monarch and arrange an apt via an agent in Son Bou that we use over there, we go there with our v young family at least once a year. V cheap holiday. don't know if i can advise numbers etc as I am a fairly quiet user and post much.
