Hi All!
Still undecided about the type of tiles for the family bathroom in http://www.theupsidedownhouse.9f.com. The room is quite dark, as it's window is underneath the balcony, at the rear & not great amounts daylight till afternoon.
Size is 2mt x 4mt & will have the bath suite & a seperate corner shower & light yellow walls. Been thinking of the floor having B&Q white 400x400 porcelain tiles & 300x300 the same in the shower.
BUT so many things to put us off them, like the sealing, time to dry out the adhesive, might be slippery... so now we're back on ceramic thinking!
BIGGER BUT... can't seem to find any that aren't full of patterns, or that won't make it look like a public toilet!!
Don't want beige, or a solid colour, as the idea is to make it easy to change the wall colours at a later date, without changing the tiles!!
So any thoughts welcome!!
Thanks in advance!

Have a look in the Tile Sheds i.e. Topps Tiles, Tile Magic. They have a large choice of tiles particularly if you go to one of their larger stores.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
How about bumpy white tiles? They reflect the light well in a small space and if you go for the 200x200mm tiles they are a decent size to work in small spaces as well as large.
Wickes are about the cheapest I know to buy online but minimum order is 6 boxes, although I'm sure you'd need more than that. I ordered 6 boxes which were sufficient to tile along the long and short sides of bath to ceiling, plus extras around wash basin.

Bumpy are being used in the en suite - together with granite floor black tiles, so don't want to have same in family bathroom as well!
Thanks anyway!

How about those mosaic tile sheets then? They come in a multitude of colours/patterns.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Trying to decide and find tiles for my bathroom. Its a small square shaped room with bath along the back. Will be tiling the back wall and along side walls to the bath edge. Also half way up behind the Wc and sink. Originally planned on white tiles but I'm moving towards matching floor/wall tiles in a beige/stone sort of colour. However, I've looked in a couple of shops, homebase and focus and some of the beigey tiles look awful, too smooth and shiny. Travertine looked nice but expensive. Any ideas?0

We've just bought beigey style tiles from Tile Depot. They had quite a few in their showroom. Saw some in Topps Tiles too, but I think the ones I liked were £30 a sq metre.0 -
weve got plain white tiles on the walls and BQ off white bumpy tiles on the floor.
we went for white so that we can put transfers on some tiles and then change them when we feel like it.
also i bought a pallet of white tiles very cheap. used the ones i wanted and sold a lot more. so my bathroom was tiled for virtually nowt.
ps ive still got a good few boxes left! time for ebay again?Get some gorm.0 -
I haven't seen anything that I've liked that looks like travertine without being travertine or equally expensive.
The last two bathrooms we did, one was oversize white matt tiles (£15sqm) laid in brickwork pattern, with irridescent mosaic tiles from B&Q(£60sqm). The other was travertine floor(£25sqm) and walls completely tiled. Bathrooms get the wow factor when it looks like you haven't scrimped on the amount of tiles you've put up, definately.
I'll be doing the same in this house because I liked them both so much.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

b&q tiles are generally poor quality
best to use a tile shop such as CTDHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Nothing lie a sweeping bit of generalisation to spice up a thread.
B&Q will have more than one supplier. We've laid several different types of tile from B&Q over the years and never had an issue.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
