I think you ask for a price matchI have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -
i did hint on the phone that i would like them to price match, but the phone operative was not up for it.
i think this would be ideal, as i dont have a PS3, blueray player, HD DVD etc.0 -
Rubbish- usual Plasma fan nonsense a good LCD gives a fantastic SD picture.kobirulali wrote: »This will blow away any LCD into the water when it comes to SD content like TV and DVD. Especially 1080p lcd.
Rubbish it wont blow a decent LCD into the water,Sopny, Panny or sharpe and some other gie a fantastic SD picture, usual Plasma fan nosense
Be honest, what are you going to use for most of the time?0 -
i thought the plasma was a much better picture in the currys shop, the colours were deeper and the picture was much sharper.
both on the same input, suppose i really need to see this tv in life though.0 -
this is the plasma have been looking at... and just checked the John lewis website..it is now at £699 which with 5 yr guarantee is actually not bad a deal...A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

£699 is still not £595..

av decoder etc.0 -
A note to add,
Screen resolution is @ 1024 x 768 ONLY. This one is not suitable for someone who wants to view blue ray, play xbox 360 and ps3. For about £120-140 more it is better to buy the samsung lcd 40" with 1920x1080p screen resolution. Just my 2p worth.
It is entirely suitable. Most (not all, but most) PS3 games output natively at 720p anyway. I don't know about Xbox 360. Blu-Ray is 1080p, yes, but a lot will depend on your viewing distance as to whether you actually notice the difference or not. 720 is entirely suitable for 42" TVs as long as you don't sit right on top of them.
BTW I've got this set and it is absolutely brilliant.0 -
<£600 is great..

just working on matched betting to fund it, and just broke the £500 mark..

I've seen top of the range sony's (just about everyone will agree sony with thier current 50:50 samsung screen) make the best LCDs. Compared one of thier high spec x series or whatever that costs 2k+ with a cheapish plasma for about 600 quid samsung, plasma was better.
What is it people say.......my two cents?0
