Think yes you need box and instructions i'm afraid, never seen GAME take or sell anything without box/instructions.if i had known then what i know now0 -
yes, definetely need box and instruction, we did this trade yesterday at Teeside park store. They don't take address, but they do get you to sign a trade in slip.
we got mario kart for £2.50, by trading two games in and using £2.49 worth of points on the game card.:T
I asked in store and they said they thought this offer would last about two weeks but none of were sure
about end day 'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

Hi just wondered who told you that, asked in GAME today and they could not confirm how long the promo is on for.0 -
Hi guys, well spotted! You can get some cheap games out of this. Here's answers to a few questions.
Trade-in games need to have boxes but instructions are not a neccessity (dependent on the store, they may not accept them, but there are stickers that say 'no instructions included' in our stockrooms for a reason.
The reason we take a name and address is a) to identify you should the police enquire and need to trace you and b) you are leaving your property with us and therefore must sign over your right to claim it as your own (the address is to identify you over other people with the same name).
Offers run from Thursday to Thursday mostly, but we have no solid date when they will end. As there are no major new releases on DS for a few weeks, I imagine it will run for around 3 weeks as mentioned, but can be stopped at any time.
You don't need a reward card to take advantage of this offer, but will speed up trade-ins because it has your address saved on it. It will also give you extra value for money on everything bought in store.
The reason we're happy to take the poor games is that the resale prices have been put up. If you notice a lot of £17.99 pre-owned games, it's because they all used to be £14.99 until last week.0 -
Hi Hkem, thanks for that. Presume from your post that you work for GAME? Thanks for dropping by.
From your post I take it you have no concerns that GAME have a problem with this little loophole in the offer.
Also couple of questions if you will, does the computer system keep track of which games you have traded in? i.e will there be a problem if you are trying to do this for the 4th time and trading in your 4th project rub for example?
Can you trade in 2 identical games?
Is there a limit on how many times you could do this as I did note on the t+c's that "game may refuse trade in if we think ou are a tradebuyer"
cheers for any response.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I've just had an email from Game and it mentions this offer but there are a couple of terms at the bottom which say:
**Offer ends 12th March 2008. Offer applies to the format listed only, when two Nintendo DS games are traded in in the same transaction. Trade-ins must be in working order and of satisfactory quality. Imported games are excluded from trade-in. Certain titles excluded. This does not affect your statutory rights.Darren0 -

Anyone know if there is a limit on this? Can I bring in 10 for 5? And do the games you choose have to be 'trade-in' ones or can it be new?? Thanks0
