I have a stray cat

Hi
Im just looking for a bit of advice maybe some rehoming centres.I have a stray cat living in mine and my next door neighbours garden we have been feeding her for over 2 months between us we contacted rspca at the time who said she would probably find her way home and they hadnt got room, well she never went home im trying to keep her protected from the rain etc but it is hard work as i already have a cat and she feels threatened by this stray so they just fight so i have tried my best to make her some shelter in the garden. My main concern about this cat is that she is due to have kittens in about a week and the rspca dont have a space till march 28th and then they say if she has the kittens before this they cant move her or the kittens for 3 weeks. The cat is in fantastic condition but over the last week has been very depressed i think she is trying to find somewhere to safe to have kittens and its distressing her.
I know she is going to end up having these kittens out in the back garden and this is what really concerns me as i feel the weather being like it is could kill her and her kittens.
Im have tried a few rehoming centres with no luck so far i live in the leicester area.
I really do not want to see anything bad happen to her as she really is a lovely cat its quite distressing to watch her.
Many thanks for any help.

try catcjat.org they have a list of rescue shelters. i had a stray in my garden about 9 yrs ago, i phoned the rspca and the woman told me quite bluntly that if they were to come and fetch her they would put her straight to sleep. horrified, i told her don't bother and i kept her myself. it is quite natural that your cat feels threatened by the stray but you might be suprised that within a week they might get along just great.0

Oh no - that's awful. Hope you find someone to help you out. I can't think of any useful advice at all. Please let us know what happens.

you could also try phoning the local vets and local petshops as they would probably know some local cat protection charities0

She has settled in well. No kittens so far! She has been to the vet and is 'fit and well' but she said it's hard to say when she will have them. She's a well mannered little cat - clean and friendly and acts as if she is used to being in a home. Not frightened of hair dryer, vacuum, etc.
A plea to everyone to get your cat micro-chipped. This cat could be reunited with her owner if she had had on fitted.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

No kittens yet - she has the fattest tummy ever seen! She's not nesting and she still eating well. She's getting along with my other cats but tommorow I'm putting her on the landing on her own so she wont be disturbed, I'll also hear her in the night.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
