Citroen C1 Rythem - Has this happened to you?

A colleague's wife's 107 back screen was blown out of her hands during high winds, but it didn't break, broke the strut and hinge though.
There is a C1 owners club website - look on there. Any issues like this are usually well reported. We have an Aygo and am not aware of a problem.
You can claim off your insurance as a windscreen claim - pay £50 or so and it doesn't affect your NCD.
BTW From reading the C1 owners club site Toyota servicing appears to be cheaper than Citroens by about 30%.0 -
I remember reading once in HonestJohn website about a similar problem with the Smart Fourtwo and the Corsa, I think it was due to a design defect.

Did you get the new Toyota today Kes?;)
No. I've done a brilliant discounted deal but have to travel 60 miles to collect so had to wait a bit. Been to a Ruby Wedding this weekend, I'm on a city break next weekend and then away working the weekend after. So, it's the 18th for me. I think the dealer thought he'd never pin me down!0 -
To the OP, i've had hundreds of these smashing little cars on my truck for deivery, and not once has a rear window shattered, some other cars can do it and its always possible for road debris to hit etc.
I would suspect something has hit the screen whilst the vehicle was parked, insurance should cover the damage less whatever excess you have to pay (thats when you find out how much you've saved by going for the cheapest online quote) without affecting NCB0 -
Just to give an update for this, which may help others in all the varoius derivatives of this model. Citreon has now agreed to pay for this under warranty as apparantly this has happened before!0
