Northern Gas Heating - is there something I should know?

Last week we had a quote from NGH to replace our ancient boiler & tanks with a combi boiler, move it to the loft and install Thermo Valves to all the rads. To try to clinch the deal he "threw in a free shower & installation" but we told him we were interested but were awaiting a verdict on a remortgage so couldn't sign.

We then got another quote for the same work, minus the shower from a local co. that was only £80 less

NCH have just called asking if we'd thought anymore, I told them we were still waiting for the mortgage result and they cut their price by £850 (spoke to the supervisor when I asked if it still included the shower and he said they had a poor month sales wise and were dooign "cost price" to bump the figures.

Almost sounds too good to be true, anyone know anything I don't?
