Sounds more like you have an earlier version of this:

    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopalbum/starter.html

That is Photoshop Album which is a free package and not what is commonly referred to as Photoshop, the best photo editing package bar none!

you can buy it, or if you think its pricey download a demo n see if you think you can part with the money then.
An alternative is photoshop is imageready by photoshop, looks very similar, cheaper, and had most of the basic functionality most casual users would need. also do a search for open source photoshop, theres some free remakes people have made of photoshop.

I was not asking the question, I have it. The OP does not appear to actually have Photoshop which is why the required effects are not present in the Albums package, if that is what they indeed have.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was just trying to figure out what software the OP actually has - and Photoshop Album seems to fit the description given pretty accurately.

It was simply the fact that you said that it was an earlier version in post #11, which it is not, nothing like!

Ah sorry, what I meant was my link pointed to "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2", whereas the OP seemed to think they had "Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0".

    Try out Faststone Image Viewer:

Plenty of editing options in there.

  • I use picassa, its free and fairly simple - you don't have to read a book of instructions or anything ;)
