Help with S&S Fidelity ISA pls

Hi

Back in February, I saw a great looking Global Growth Stocks & Shares ISA offered by Smile online bank.

I decided to go for it despite knowing 0% about Stocks & Shares as I wanted to "have a go". I've got all the paperwork from Fidelity (the people SMILE offered it through) and all seemed well.

I've tried to go online to view my "holdings?" but can't get into my account for love nor money! ::) I've gone over the paperwork and can't find a 10 digit number the web site keeps asking for and according to their web site, my account doesn't exist! :o:o:o Help!

I invested a total of £1,250 (£250 in each fund) and haven't got a clue how they're doing! They are:

Aberdeen Far East Emerging Economies (I)
Fid FIF Eurpoean Fund (A)
Gartmore Govett US Opportunities (A)
Merrill Lynch Gold & General Acc (A)
INVESCO PERPETUAL Global Bond Acc (A)

I'm totally clueless with all this so any plain English advice as to what to do would be excellent!

Thank you in advance

try ringing/emailing smile or fidelity. I take it that access is via Fidelity Funds Network?
There may be a freephone no for fidelity or try their website https://www.fidelity.co.uk. Usually found them pretty helpful in the past.

have you not been given any client number? it may be on your statement or contract notes?

(ps. if i was you open a ISA for funds via Hargreaves lansdown, they offer a better service and good discounts).
  • Hi Chipz

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to ring them tomorrow to try and sort it out.

I've got an account number but that's about it! No client number in sight and I've looked through the paperwork I've been sent over and over.

Wish I'd studied shares a bit more before going ahead and opening a ready wrapped ISA. I haven't a clue to be honest and I just wanted to "have a go". Beginning to wish I hadn't at the moment. ::)

Probably be ok, just being a worrier!

    Thanks once again.
