That's because a lot of men don't tend to carry over acrimony from one day to the next. That was yesterday, now is today, and tomorrow will be a clean slate too...

Thanks Zed - it's just when someone sinks into a depression every time they are faced with spending 2 full days with you, you do start to think that maybe it's you (er, me, not you.....if you see what I mean).

I'm not really sure what to say about his drinking - he's not drinking exessively and getting drunk (he gets breathalysed regularly at work, and if he failed he would lose his job, so he can't), but he does drink most days. Difficult to tell if he is using it as some sort of crutch or not - probably a bit, but not so much I would say it was a problem.

Thanks for the hugs - he has woken up so am going to try to use the problem solving techniques we have been learning about today on my course and see if I can get to the bottom of it a bit.

maybe he is just tired snaggles, I sometimes have to spend 4/5 hours a day driving to and from meetings for work and find it really draining. maybe he needs more exercise - I know it sounds mad but it helps.
