    Morning Keren,

Is that the tradition of today?

  • It certainly is Gemmzie. Apparently first done by St Bridget in the 5th century in Ireland (can you tell I'm AQA'ing ;) )

Was listening to Jonnie Walker on Radio 2 this morning & he read out some woman's name & said "the answer's yes".....but I have no idea whether she was proposing or just asking if someone wanted a cup of tea.....

Damp & miserable by the seaside today :(

Sale playing at home tonight :)

We're off to Scotland for a flying Mother's Day visit tomorow :)
And DS1 has sent me a Mother's Day card from uni  - I think his GF reminded him though :rotfl:

Morning all. Don't think there'll be any proposing here today, though I have already been on my knees (that sounds bad! :o). Have had an achy lower back for the last few days and woke up this morning in agony, had to do some interesting contortions to get out of bed and then crawl to the bathroom. Managed to get myself upright now though I'm having to stand in front of the pc cos sitting hurts :(

Hope everyone else is having a better day!

    morning all.

It's quite overcast here in Leeds, but I'm hoping the weather picks up (if it doesn't I'm hoping DH DOESN'T hang the washing out when he gets home at lunchtime!!

RedS - ooh backcache; sorry to hear that - you have my sympathies!
GG - good news on the card and fingers crossed the home goes through safely.
