Has anyone ever used easy mobile?

If so are they any good? They seem cheapish although I'm slightly confused on their prices.I mainly text not sure if that makes a difference.

What is there reception like? I'm on o2 at the moment and I'm alright using my phone aslong as its upstairs as downstairs I keep losing signal.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

    Hi MonkeyGirl

I have taken out 3 sims with EasyMobile (mine and 2 kids). They have been fine so far (since May). Reception is okay, piggybacks T-Mobile apparantly. I think it depends on your usage, we are all pretty low so their prices are good for us, but I will be keeping an eye on my costs and will change to contract if it increases too much. Topping up has been easy via the website, even though it does cost 25p, but I can live with that for the convenience of not paying for minutes or texts that I would not use (if on contract!). Texts cost 5p and all calls, whether land line or mobile are 15p per minute, but are only billed per second.

    Hope that helps
  • I switched to easyMobile and as far as cost goes I believe it is excellent. However, something which needs to be considered (and which I didn't!) is that they do not support MMS or GPRS. It's a bit annoying to have to go to a website to view any pictures you are sent, and obviously you can't send any. I will probably switch to Virgin soon.

Not bothered about that. All I want to use a phone for is phoning and texting. To me all the WAP/GPRS and 3G is for is a another way of making more money for the networks. It amazes me that people can spend £60 on mobile phone line rental these days. Thats ridiculous!!

Have to agree with you MiserlyMartin, I can honestly say I have not missed been unable to send MMS or GPRS (which I did have with my previous Virgin sim). As my old man says as long as you can make and receive calls/texts what more do you want. I for one simply want as cheap a mobile bill as possible and with EasyMobile that is what I have. :j
  • Does anyone have any views as to how Fresh from CPW compares to EasyMobile. I really need the lowest text cost for my textaholical daughter..
I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.
I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.
Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far!

Would you not be best with o2's Online PAYG sims that come with 300 texts per month just for topping-up by £10 per month and you still get to keep the £10 as credit on your phone for whatever you want - calls, or even texts after you have used the 300!
