On the phone to them now, thay say it's not possible to do this! Infact, they are adament that it would be a one off policy set by the store manager.

igloo, I know you're upset, but you've posted this in 3 places so far. I think just a single thread should be OK to get some help ? Not being mean or anything, just thinking it would help both yourself and other people who want to help by sticking to one post

Expressing my opinions as I have a right to do.

I am interesting in bargains and the best investments for my money but draw the line at this voucher "scam".

I am not calling anyone here cheap if they do participate in such offer - but if you are holding up the queue in front of me then expect a tongue lashing.

How is this a scam when it is Tesco policy?

They are prepared to accept coupons for products you buy(obviously) but also products you havent bought!

I'm sorry, I also have an opinion and, if Tesco are prepared to accept it then where is the wrong?

Went to my local store today (Hamilton - Leicester) and bought £50 worth of goods. Tried to use 2 coupons total value of £1.50 and was told sorry but you have'nt bought it. I explained the policy but he was adament. I gave up - didn't have the time for once to argue with him or get a duty manager. Maybe next time I will for the sake of it!

As my phone call revealed, this is not their policy.

The "scam" is is parenthesis because it is totally legal and within store policy - but I disagree with the practise.

I believe it is wrong to use vouchers if you have not bought the goods. This is my opinion and I was annoyed that someone told me I could not have one.

Of course, by the same token, your opinion (and most others on here) that is is okay to use any vouchers regardless, is also valid and I respect your right to voice it.
