Hi All :hello:
I have been worried about not sowing enough out by this stage but the weather is still not very helpful at the moment so far I have a tray of brussell sprouts and cauliflower seedlings along with some spinach, tomato plant, peppers, peas all in the greenhouse - am abit worried about some carrot and onion seeds I put in the ground in feb. Also spuds in ground in feb... oh well fingers crossed:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j0 -
keep an eye on the spuds, they will rot quickly if the ground is wet and cold.0

You forgot :- fixing that old broken down fence panel.
In fact with the help of my neighbour Ive completely fenced off the one side of my garden in the last two days. Got rid of the old wire chain link, its a magnet for weeds. Need to build a new panel for the other side, and then a lick of paint should finish it off nicely.
Not sure if its the right time of year but Ive just moved a few plants around. hoping we wont have any more cold snaps. I got some bricklaying to do, and might shift a few slabs aswell. Its a good enough time of year to do a bit of landscaping, the ground is nice and easy to dig, and you get nice and mucky
Ive also been out tackling my bramble's, ruddy thing get everywhere if you dont watch them, my hands are in bits. Im hoping for a bramble free garden soon.....
Going to finish off the patio hopefully by the summer, and then I might tackle the front garden in the autumn, it looks like a demolition site after the builders left.
Must mow the lawn this week aswell, watched a realy good program tonight Allan Titchmarsh, on how to care for lawns, now I know where Im going wrong I can perhapse get my putting green on the go lolTo travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -
Fantastic day out in the garden today.
We cut the side of the privet hedge back to try to get it straighter before too much new growth appears - all the bulges have been removed.
Potted up all my dahlias and we finished filling in the hollow in the grass on the verge and have sown some seed on top.
2nd veg bed is cleared of turf but so boggy with the rain on clay so cannot be dug yet.
Pots which I 'planted' in an incinerator in July on the 'new pots for christmas' thread have just started to shoot so must give them a water and remember to keep checking them and topping up with soil.
Here's hoping for a dry week. I must start sowing seeds tomorrow (indoors). The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
