Yes.
On BT Options 2 and 3 you don't have to make chargeable calls - the free 'inclusive' ones are enough..
To confirm what Sunhil says:
Inclusive calls are classed as a chargeable call. Your account is charged for the call and BT credits your account with the call charge, as appropriate for your call plan.
Any inclusive landline call, made as follows, qualifies as a chargeable call:
Option 1 (Free Weekends): A weekend landline call of up to 60 mins.
Option 2 (Free Evenings & Weekends): An evening or weekend landline call up to 60 mins.
Option 3 (Anytime) Any landline call up to 60 mins.
You do not need to faff about making any other chargeable call. Just use BT's inclusive calls and you should be fine.
Would using 1280 also work for Sky like it does for Orchid?
If not I need to make chargeable calls such as call back and reminder calls?
AFAIAA, nobody on Sky Talk CPS has yet found a way of making calls via BT to qualify for 'free' Caller Display and/or basic 1571.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
