Hi,
My friend would quite like to go with AOL to get her first BroadBand connection. She was with them a while back on dial up but stopped it as she didnt use it much but was paying 19.99 a month for it.
Can anyone tell me of the best deal she should ask for when she rings them up ?
I was thinking AOL Silver for £9.99 a month on 12 month contract
does that seem reasonable ?
any better deals ?

I was on the phone a couple of days ago to see if I could downgrade to silver, as BT have downgraded my phone line (used to be capable of getting 8mb, but now it's down to 2.5mb) and I was told that they don't do silver anymore.
As your friend would be a new broadband customer she would be restricted to the new plans which I think are AOL wireless, and unless she lives in a virgin area she won't get to pay as little as £9.99. I don't and was only able to negotiate down to £17.99, because the 9.99 is to rival the virgin cost.
I may be wrong though, good luck.
edit: Oh and I think they only do new 18 month contracts too.
It's only a game

She doesnt have to go with AOL so is open to suggestions.
What do people think of the BT offer for option 1 ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
AOL is easy to use just go for the cheapest deal. I'm with Talk talk which is AOL anyway and have big no problems and it's free.Martin Lewis should be knighted:money:

Well it seems Orange isn't a good one to use and O2 is good we can't get it in this area. The cheapest I seem to be finding is 14.99 a month or BT which cost £17.99 after first 6 months but contract for 18months.
I have to say I thought getting BB would be cheaper now then when I got it but it seem more expensive to me !
Am I missing a good deal somewhere ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0
