It's not her your dad need to contact though! She sounds like she wouldn't give a toss even if he did! Your dad needs to contact Bebo and tell them that they are in breach of copyright by allowing her to have these photos on her page, that he is giving them notice that they are in breach of copyright, and that if they don't rectify that breach within 7 days, he's going after them (not her) in respect of this. Hope that now makes things clear.

You clearly don't like this woman, but if you want to solve this problem, you are going to need to separate out your personal feelings from what needs to be done. Nothing that needs to be done involves you contacting this woman in any shape or form (unless your dad refuses to get involved with Bebo), so stop worrying about how she will react when you do. This is a straight legal issue with Bebo.

I havent tried contacting her directly, and i know my dad wouldnt either. Both of us are only dealing with Bebo with regards to this, im sorry if my posts make it seem otherwise
  • Does she live quite near to you? If so, I would be round there in a flash demanding her take the pics off!

She could be giving pictures of your kids to anyone! Deal with the problem which is her not Bebo! It will only be your word against hers with Bebo anyway. Protect your kids...nobody else will!!

Would the best first step not be to try and speak to her first [/b]before going to bebo? Could you not get her number or address from your dad as she's his ex?

I think it seems a bit extreme to go straight to the ISP when the woman may not even know you have a problem with it and had a chance ot put things right.

Not really, she stopped being civilised towards me after she split up from my dad.

l would send her a private message on email
let her know you would like the pictures removed
l honestly do not think bebo will do much about it
if they remove the pictures she can just post them back on
 just wondering why she would want pictures off your kids on her bebo??????
  • A little while ago my 11 year old (at the time) and her school friends all set up Bebo sites - they all shared passwords around (as kids do) and kept going onto each other's sites to change things around etc.

I looked over my daughter's shoulder one day and noticed that a picture of one of her friends had been posted on one of the sites - the pic was innocent but looked quite inappropriate (taken in summer time of the little girl wearing a vest top and snapped at an unfortunate angle giving a rather different impression than the one intended) - I immediately rang the parents of the child in the photo and they logged on and looked and were horrified.

Because of the password sharing etc it wasn't clear which of the kids had posted the picture and the password had been changed on the site and noone could remember what it was!!!

Anyway the parents contacted Bebo - said the picture was inappropriate and was of their 11 year old daughter and Bebo removed it almost instantly.

Sorry, but I don't know how they contacted Bebo to get such quick response and action - but just wanted to say to perservere with them, or maybe explore other ways of getting through to them as I know they acted so quickly before.

    Good luck getting it sorted.

Thanks, good to know they might still deal with it!
  • hi i had this recently with a picture of my 3 year old. i clicked flag this image and gave the reason depicted violence and then in the box below i typed that they were pics of my 3 yr old and i did not give my parental permission for them to be on there and asked them to remove them. i did this twice and on both occasions they were removed within 12 hrs.
