We compost everyting frome fruit and veg peelings to tea bags, even hair from the hairbrushes (great for adding nitrogen) and tissues. We even get Mil to keep all her bits for us:o . The compost we get is georgous, and free, and oooh what pleasure we got last year when we saw what grew in it.:D
lol - I'm not sure if I'm meant to, but I empty the contents of the dyson in it as well as tea bags, peelings, tissues, kitchen roll etc. I'm not at the stage of producing compost to use and I'm fairly rubbish in the garden, but I live in hope :A0 -

I'm all stocked up for soups, stews and pasta and for some reason I'm craving salad! It's not as if it's summery weather either
I think that's one of the things I find hardest about this challenge (and the whole money saving thing in general)- trying to be happy with what I've got (ooh that's a bit deep for the Grocery Challenge!:o). Not having the best day anyway, so the temptation to go and buy something 'nice' to cheer myself up is quite big - but the credit card and loan that I'm trying to pay off testify to that not being a good idea!
Sorry for the moan:rolleyes:
(((Redsquirrel))) dont apologise for having a moan. I think we can all identify with you. You're doing so well on the GC and great with your debt free date.
Hope you've had a better day xx0 -

My friends baby is 4 months old and she feeds ok, but her poo has always been green. It worries me but the HV thinks its fineSorry to anyone looking for inspiration on what to cook, but its the first time I've seen anyone talk about green poo.

Purplevamp, sorry this is off topic here, but I need to ask about your 'deposit for house' challenge - £146k, is that what you need to raise for the whole house or is that just the deposit?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

That's just a deposit. South East houses are very expensive. We need a 3-4 bed house and they cost around £280K. Even ex-council houses are selling for about £230K  .
I know I'm dreaming a bit but we all need dreams don't we?!Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £161.29 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -

I know a few people from the south east - Eastbourne & Hastings directions and the property prices are way out of my league. Although I need to add that they have a really good store called ESK down there, I remember that much, because I brought some great bargains home with me.
I think everyone should follow their dreams, it's what makes life worth the struggle, especially when you succeed in the end. :TI reserve the right not to spend.
