problem with motherboard

    Have checked on Kingston site and it says that the RAM is compatible.

    Is it in the case already? Check that you haven't shorted out any contacts on the back of the board by accident, I was once at my wits end trying to get a computer to work, only to find when I removed the board to RMA it that I'd installed an extra standoff which was shorting the board out. Worked fine after that:).

    The next thing I'm going to try is to take the board out of the case and see what happens then.

    Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Yep take it out and strip it down the the minimum, and put it on a non conductive surface e.g. Mobo box.

    PSU, CPU+FAN, 1 stick of RAM, Videocard + Monitor and Ideally speaker.

    You can start the machine by briefly shorting out the power on pins which is normally connected to the power button.

    Nothing....same beeps. I've now arranged to send the motherboard back to Dabs.

    Yeah that sounds like the way to go. Maybe try the RAM in another machine just to confirm it isn't the one causing the problem. Good luck with returning the item to Dabs. I've been there done that, it takes a while.

    As stated earlier the RAm works fine in my SKT A machine.
