From what I can see you can still claim the childcare element if you're self employed but it's really confusing.. can anyone help? I can't find anything that says about hours or anything like that....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I'm just looking but i can't find anything. It doesn't say you CAN'T claim it if you are self employed though, so that's a good sign."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Do they have an online catalogue? Maybe we can do a virtual party??"Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first woman she meets and then teams up with three complete stangers to kill again."-- TV listing for the movie, The Wizard of Oz,0

I work in a primary school, and we've had 'toys' brought in by kids occasionally that they've found at home  :rotfl:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Well I just did the online Tax credit calculator which said that we'd get £146 a week inc childcare element.... so looks like I'd just have to give them an estimate of what I think I'll earn but they base the actual award on last year...
I suppose I better ring them anyway and find out..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Just called them and basically I have to register as self employed and give them the details and then I'll be eligable for the childcare element as long as I'm doing 16 hours a week including prep, ordering, parties etc. No problem! Have just emailed the AS manager to double check I have to register a self employed and will call the IR once she says yes.
