Grew up knowing this guy was ok. Glad everything turned out alright.

Hmmm...
lots of people tried to take advantage of their *obvious* mistake - they're now paying it back by handing out bad karma by the bucketload......seems like an equal trade!

Notification of price error. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Dear Customer,
This notice is to inform all customers that regretfully, the £0.99 price displayed for a Lucca portable navigation system was incorrect.
We would like to offer a very sincere apology for the error and inconvenience this has caused.
We are now in the process of issuing full refunds to each and every customer who has placed an order on the site within the last 7 days.
The refund will be issued directly to the card with which payment was originally made.
Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error.
Kind regards,
HighwaytoHeaven0 -
Hmm are they trying to gain some time and cash in on the transactions?0

This does not explain why the website is still fully operational and accepting new orders. The site also includes "Featured products for February". Why go to the trouble to provide a notification of a price error but not mention that the company is no longer trading? I suspect that further investigations will be required.
I fully agree. If ,as was stated yesterday, they had ceased trading, when the site was pulled yesterday it would have stayed down surely? But no, we are now back up and running and as stated above, accepting orders. Would you not put a message on the home page saying you had ceased to trade.
I am sorry but the person posting on here as highwaytoheaven.co.uk is taking us for fools. What they did was a clever bit of free advertising for both of their sites. Hopefully nobody on this forum has seen fit to purchase anything else from them, so therefore causing them wasted time.0 -

I stumbled across the site looking for a digital frame. Luckily I found a better price for that elsewhere or I'd be really annoyed!
Although would have been interesting if they had honoured the frame but not the satnav...0 -

The refund will be processed by 'voiding the transaction'. This means that the transaction will be cancelled, and your card will not be charged.
Over 600 orders were placed in the last 24 hours. Refunds will be processed through our Payment service provider Protx, and will be issued beginning with those orders placed earliest.
Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error.

My card has been charged, does this mean they have entered into a contract and i can stamp my feet until I get my 99p SatNav?0 -
Ivrytwr3, I just had the same email and am thinking the same. I have emailed them back explainging that they have taken the money from my account and this means they have entered a legally binding contract with myself (the customer). After all the email states that it is a pricing error and not due to the fact that they no longer stock this item.So they should not have taken the money at all i think.
So we will see what they say ah.0 -
another thing - i think i am right in saying that there was no geographical address to contact them at, just an email - which is why a few people were worried about card details etc.
SOGA states (if i remember correctly) that an online retailer must provide both an email AND a geographical address.Wins since June: iPod shuffle 1gb, Samsung g800, cinema ticket, lush retro giftbox, 2x mp3 downloads, a big box of food (???)0
