Satnav for 99p...Probably misprice

If you go for more than a few your greedy, but not if its 2. Oh come on, we are all in the same boat whether its one or a hundred and one.
it's the ones who have gone and ordered DOZENS of these that are moaning the most, but they are crying crocodile tears into their ebay accounts.
i ordered 2 for gifts, one for my parents, and one for my friend who is about to take her driving test. both gifts. wonder how many low lives were going to have these listed on ebay with a huge mark up?
as for you keith, i am currently out of pocket by less than £6.
if i had ordered 101, I would be out of pocket by 103.94, so no, we are not in the same boat.0 -
Just out of interest, when I looked at the site, it was charging something like £3.50 p+p. Did some people get free p+p and others not? Was there something you had to do to get the free p+p. If not, at what point did the website that was allegedly not changed in months, change from free p+p to charging for it?
if you bought 1, p&p was free.
if you bought more than 1, p&p was £3.95.
don't think that changed.0 -

Fair point. I went for it because at 99p, its neither here nor there if i lose it, if it was £99 i wouldnt risk it, if i lose 99p, i wont complain, but yes, some will. As i said before, you win some you lose some.
Please ignore my comments, the poster i quoted from has completely re-edited their post to which i refer to0 -

Does NOT ring true, fair enough a mis-price but I don't 'buy' the mystery site story
fine, your choice. i don't necessarily believe, or disbelieve the chap i spoke to - i will only believe or disbelieve in 7 days time if i have, or have not, got my refund.
i am sure if you phoned them they could explain to you how the transactions went through?0 -

Your contributions to this thread have hardly been helpful either, much the same as your comments on the Makro thread, in fact much the same as the rest of your posts. If you really feel the need to be condescending, could you not go and do it elsewhere. If at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Fair enough, I only ordered 1 so no great panic.
It just seems a bit convenient for them, if a customer stops trading or requests it I will delete an entire website within 5 mins, just placing a front page with explanation and contact detail.
If it is / was a small business they will have loads to do to sort this out and may have to pay protx for the many transactions they processed0 -

How childish can you get? Completely change a post after i agree with what you say and then slag me off. People have clearly seen you for what you are, an abusive bully who should be stood up to, however i am no longer going to sink to your level by responding further. You are not here to save money, just to be a pain in the backside.0 -

if that is the case applejack, i am sure they will have learned from their mistake. as i said, the chap on the phone answered every one of my questions, and i am sure if you phone them, they will do the same for you. if i have lost my £6, que sera sera. if my card details are used, it isn't the first time, it probably won't be the last. the best advice anyone can take is watch your statements.0 -
Hiya Lucky Lady,
Lucky_Lady wrote: »ok. i have just phoned intermail, who the phone number for wedodigital actually belongs to. 01635565000.
:T :A I was gonna ring, but dont know what to believe and what not to believe and wondered if it could be an on-going scam.
Lucky_Lady wrote: »ok.i spoke to a very nice chap there who has advised that all refunds will be made within 7 days. apparently "highway to heaven" ceased trading 5 months ago! i don't understand how the website was live this morning, and how all this happened, and frankly, don't really care. i think we ALL knew we were never going to recieve a sat nav for 99p, but hey, it was worth a punt!
Lucky_Lady wrote: »ok.if you have spent more than a few quid on these today, you are a greedy get anyway and really have no gripe. i bought 2, for gifts, so was never going to "lose" big money, although i understand there are many people who have ordered stupid amounts of this.
:T I AGREE LUCKY LADY !!:p
Lucky_Lady wrote: »ok.I was merely concerned about the privacy of my card details, and i have been assured. i will still be watching my account and making sure everything adds up.
Earlier I was also concerned of the security of my debit card, so phoned bank who confirmed 99p had been taken from my account and so i decided to cancel the account and get new card.
(just in case.)
So Now Im Wondering:-
:confused:What happens if they do refund everyone ?
I will miss out on my refund aswell, wont I ?
Any Advise ? (sorry)~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0 -
