please know your facts before you can tell that the cover is basic.
I raised an eyebrow at that one too love-I onlt know because I used to sell the account though but people do assume it's too good to be true-the account is fab if you are going to utilise the benefits!Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!

hi,you have a select account, which offers credit - debit card protection,aa cover, air miles, loss of passport, through a firm called sentinel for £7.95 a month,i cancelled it as half the benifits were no good to me,also when i phoned up sentinel to activate my account, you have to give your debit card details, the sentinel person i spoke to asked for my 3 digit security number on the back of the card,i didn't think anything of it at the time, but low and behold 2 days later £60 worth of goods were bought with my card details somewhere in europe, some corrupt staff,so beware, needless to say i cancelled my account, and downgraded to classic account, with no fee's0

I have our joint account with Lloydstsb, and they were charging us $10(sorry, no pound sign on my laptop). It has just gone up to $12 a month. For that, we get basic AA cover, Worldwide Travel Insurance, mobile phone insurance and some kind of credit card cover. However, the mobile insurance is not worth the paper it is written on, I had my insured phone either lost or stolen whilst at the hair dressers, and they refused to pay up, saying I had negligently left it. I pointed out to them that the nature of a mobile phone, is that it is 'mobile' and tends to be out and about wherever I happen to be, but no. Also the scanky gits said because I delayed reporting the loss to the police until the next day, and said I could not prove I owned the phone, even though the EMEi number was on their policy. My answer to the police query, was that I was intent on thoroughly searching and retracing my steps to cover every eventuality before I could definately say the phone was missing. (Sorry for the rant, but feel much better for it now )Anyway, I was a bit dubious about the Travel INsurance, so I have phoned the provider up to check I am actually covered for my forthcoming weekend away in Spain, and they say yes, so pays to check I think.Fortunately, have not had cause to use the AA cover, but do feel more confident out driving knowing that I alledgely have this as cover. All in all, I am sure that it would still cost more to have these perks individually than the $144 a year, and we have a $900 overdraft which we use every month, in effect a bank loan of the money, so I think we will stick with the 'status quo 'for now.keep smiling,
