Hi tine
I am a volunteer driver for a charity in my home town and I also get forty pence per mile.
At £0.40 per mile, you do not pay tax on the first 10,000 miles per year but after that you may have to pay tax.
This web page maybe of use to you. www.hmrc.gov.uk/mileage/employee-factsheet.htm or this one, which is more detailed but it is for volunteer drivers. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/mileage/volunteer-drivers.htm0 -
Oh my goodness, i need my eyes testing! I read this as "kill 1 or 2 of the cats"!
I thought that was not a very nice thing to say to a petloving MSE!
:rotfl: maybe we should make sure that pets and finance are kept well apart

But think of the savings, no cat food, cat litter, treats or expensive trips to the vet.
Just kidding.0 -
LOL oh I can think of plenty of reasons NOT to have the cats... like the 4am wake up calls when they want letting in or out... The presents on the front door step...
Infact why DO we have them? Hmmm oh yeah... the furry little faces that look SOOO cute when they are all snuggled up on your lap... mmmmDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Well well well BarclayCard have given me a limit of £5650 for my 0% 14 months... They will only let me transfer £5000 but that's ok

So now we have £5125 on 0% for 14 months (£125 is the handling charge bah!!!) I've already set up a DD for the minimum payments so that none are missed by accident (just need to make sure the first payment goes out if not then make a manual payment)
When we get back from the wedding venue later I will check the exact balance on the MBNA card and then do a transfer to the life of balance card and THEN I'll call MBNA and see what they will offer me APR wise and do a balance transfer to my loan teehee!!!
IF they make me a decent offer ofcourse! If not then I'll wait a week till I am sure the transfers have gone smoothly and close the card.
THEN I'll see if I can get a good cashback card
Fingers crossed! DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
