Well I thought I wouldn't get a decent 0% transfer card until I had a new job and I hate lying so didn't wanna fib about my income on the applications... Today I applied for the Barclays 0% card and got accepted straight away which is good news! So that should be with me in the next 5 day alledgedly!
Hoping that between that and the low apr for life of balance card that I can clear the MBNA card and chuck it. Then I'll apply for a money back card and ditch my Tesco card once I get appoved
Don't need a high limit on this as it will purely be for getting cashback on spending. Already have a Tesco Clubcard credit card which I use but want a better rewarding card to be honest!
The egg loan thankfully have no penalties for overpaying each month which is great!
We're making progress folks!

Hi tine
That is great news about the Barclaycard. As soon as you get it, can you post what the limit is on it? With this credit crunch thing, it might not have a very high limit, but here’s hoping it does.
The LOB card has a £1500 limit, which means you can transfer about £1,200. There is normally a transfer fee to add on, which is why you cannot go up to your limit. That means the Barclaycard needs to have a limit of about £4,500 if you wish to kill the MBNA card.
Do not transfer anything until the Barclaycard arrives.0 -
Don't worry I'm sitting tight
I have to say I'm very interested too in what limit they will set with the current credit crunch. Especially as I theoretically (in my view!) have a lot of available credit right now.
Tesco CC: Limit £1000 (this is my everyday spending card so is cleared religiously)
MBNA CC: Limit £6000 - balance £5551
Citi CC: Limit £1500 - £0 balance ready for balance transfer.
A&L overdraft: Limit £1250 (not used, got it set to this as an emergency fallback incase it was needed between jobs...)
So don't know if they will feel I have PLENTY of Credit available and shouldn't need a high limit... If I get a high enough limit to take the whole MBNA balane I'll use transfer balance to the Egg loan as the card has a smaller APR
Busy busy bee

Petrol money is a blessing-I used to drive a real old banger, and it made me smile that I was paid 32p a mile, to take depreciation into account
I'd have been amazed if anyone had offered me 32p for the car...
Glad the new job is going well, the politicking can take a bit of getting used to, but I'm sure you'll have them all figured out soon x0
