    Two points about breaking up a cast iron bath.
    1) Wear googles, gloves and overalls. You will not believe the sharp bits of enamel that fly when it is hit by a sledge hammer. The noise is frightful as well, like a huge bell. I know this from personal experience.
    2) My neighbour's daughter used to lock her bike to a cast iron bath in the front garden. One day she came out to find that the bath had been stolen, but the bike was still there. So it had value for someone.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.

    Oh you mean the link to the "we'll only pay you a pittance for your old bath after you have ruined your decorations getting it outside for us and make a serious killing on the resale price to the numpty with more money than sense" sort of luncheon meat? :D
