Barretts like all housebuilders will do and are doing all they can to prop up the market

this is why they have halved production

and is the reason why we will be lucky to see 120,000 new homes built this year
  • Quick I'd better buy a house today then before supply runs out...

There will be loads of nice 3 and 4 bedders on the market by the end of this year. As both Mr & Mrs Jones from numbers 34 & 36 I can withdraw more equity than you avenue, Realise they have been both trying to keep up with each other through equity release.:D

currently in Gloucestershire there are over 560 new build houses for sale on rightmove (while I appreciate they aren't all detached) it doesn't feel like a shortage.

It's an expensive place to buy!

It's property day in the local papers on a Thursday and it is stuff to gills of Barratts Dream starts, Bovis 100% home exchange, Wimpey etc

Newland homes are doing £99 down, plus 5% deposit paid, stamp duty paid, legal fees paid and fitted carpets.

I'm getting bored of the prices falling vs prices are holding debate. I have my own life to live and my own decisions to make on property, I can honestly say that prices are falling on houses in Gloucestershire and local agents have very high stocks on their books.

If it's not in your area or other areas or even nationally it doesn't effect me as I'm looking to buy in this area.
