Shock - house floggers (who earn money by flogging houses) say prices won't drop (but didn't really also say HELP HELP we NEED an INTEREST RATE CUT FAST before it all goes pear-shaped!!!, or least give the directors a share price boost before April...).

In other news - Badger and Butthead stated thet the UK economy was well placed to ride the minor turbulence created by the GREEDY AMERICANS!!
  • That surprises me...

If things are going so well, why is their share price lower than it was a month ago?

Thanks for the graph. The figures are pretty dramatic.

Cashflow is the lifeblood of builders but they will hold the selling prices of their stock in hand until one of the majors goes bust.

Phew, Halifax and Rightmove (nothing at all to do with properdeee) are holding up - panic over. And presumably when/if somebody does croak, there will be a massive whip-round from builders, banks (obviously not Barratts, Halifax, Rightmove who all sell fluffy toys or something) btl-ers etc - obviously impossible for prices to drop more than a couple of percent per century..?

Almost every organisation who tracks or comments on house prices has a vested interest in keeping them high.

When Barratts sell their overpriced flats by shared ownership, is the full price recorded, or just the part they sell?
    Been away for a while.
