  • I am also a newbie to the forum and I just wanted to say how useful I have found it. Bought my copy of glamour magazine and saved nearly £20 on an outfit on Tuesday for a wedding at the weekend. Have also bought other magazines with free mascaras etc, am turning into a frugal queen, buy most of my stuff with discounts or sales and have now discovered voucher, cashback websites as well.
My biggest change has been looking at how much i can save each month and not spend, have opened an account that will give me £3000 this time next year, feel really proud of myself:j

  • I love the payment a day thing. I'm going to start that tomorrow!!

The sealed pot is my favourite though, as a waitress I get lots of cash tips and I put 50% of these into a sealed tin. Not sure when I will open it as it's got lots of notes in there...how exciting!!
    £2 sealed tin - ???/£200
    Tips/Service charge sealed tin - ???/£1000
    Halifax CC 9.9% - Sept 2008 = £550
    Parental Loan - Sept 2008 = £3200

Thank you Reventon for giving me the boost to get the links updated. I found additional challenge: "get it done" Sounds like a good one for me :o
