I sold 12 months of updates about my classic car a few years ago, went for about £12. I wrote a few letters to the winning bidder during the year letting him know about car shows I'd been to, sent a few photos etc. In fact maybe I should try it again...:j

A ratty old Rupert the Bear comic I found lining the bottom of a box of junk at a car boot sale. It sold for £49.00!
  • Now then, I'm the last to be a party-pooper, and selling weird and wonderful stuff on eBay, just to see if you can, sounds like fun. Wouldn't mind having a go myself.
Only thing is... it just struck me that many of the fraudsters who prey on eBay users build up their feedback by buying lots of small and insignificant items for a few pence. You can quickly build up a reasonable-looking rating for under a tenner.
Perhaps check the buyer's other feedback before leaving your own!
(or am I just being paranoid??)

The funniest, most stupid item i put on Ebay was a load of fluff collected from the filte in my tumble dryer. It did actually sell for £0.95 with 40p postage. It did surprise me when it sold though.

Thought this was going to go down the belly button fluff route!

The Rupert comic wasn't that old, 80s I think although I don't recall the details. It had been scribbled on by a child (which I mentioned clearly in the auction and showed in one of the pics), maybe it was a rare one - there were a lot of bids.
