Do the CSA cut your IS payments if they can't get CM from a childs father - in this case (not me I hasten to add asking on behalf of sister who has a 2 months old daughter). The childs father is unknown

Well if the mother doesn't know who the father is how can the CSA expect to collect any money
If she has an idea as to who the father is she can get a DNA test done.

Yes that is what I told her, but she is paranoid now that her IS will be deducted and she doesn't want to have to tell anyone that she doesn't know who the father is, she said it was bad enough when she registered her daughter!0

Doesn't she even have a "shortlist"?They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Perhaps I should stop bugging her then! You know, I didn't realise it would be left blank!0

a friend went through simular thing, if there is no on birth cerificate it would be up to her to fill in form on IS honestly.
If she really has no idea which in some cases are, then if there is no name on Cerificate I wouldn't of thought CSA can chase that up.(im not !00% on this tho)
If a name is on birth cerificate then she will have to be honest say who father is, regauless if she wants CSA involed they would have to be as she on IS. Once CSA do contact the father you are intitled to £10 CSA and the rest goes to the secarty of state. Like zara said the birth cerifcate would be left empty if father unknown. Hpoe that makes sence, I think im rambling a bit lol0 -

One day she will have to explain to her child about their father.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.:j:D

There are plenty more reasons she might not want to say who the father is that are less pleasant than a random one-night stand.
I'd think twice about pestering her. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
