dropped phone help needed

i have dropped my phone sony ericson t610 no visible damage outside as it went onto grass but it is turned off and i cannot turn it on there seems to be a lot on ebay like this is it common and can i rectify would really like to keep phone as i have just bought the dedicated cradle for it
