Fed up of Ebay Sellers

I do agree that the tardy shippers and those that charge excessive post and packing may well be making a false economy in the future. Unless they can keep their stars at 4.5 or above they won't get any of the reduced fees for selling.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. not bad apples.
you have to think is it a personal or business account,
I run a business one 3000+ powerseller
and a personal one
the personal ones are sent when i have time so can be a week before posted,
why do people assume its to be sent instantly
i think this seller has gone beyond a reasonable time.
especially when demanding instant payment0 -
Do you let buyers know that it may be a week until they are posted?not bad apples.

Why should you treat your buyers differently?
Personally if I pay immediately I can't see why items can't be posted within a day or two unless specified on the auction that shipping may be delayed because you can't be bothered.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I am delighted to see that I can now do a search for 'lowest price including postage and packing'. It's great. I don't have to do the sums anymore.
The sellers who fail to state the p+p (they ask you to send a request for the postage costs) sink to the very bottom of the list. Mind you, I rarely get to the bottom of the list!
Recently I paid a seller £6.00 for delivery of a dress. I thought this was reasonable in view of the packing and tracking and stuff. Very good sellers use tissue paper and present the items beautifully and I don't mind paying for that thoughtful kind of service.
I changed my mind about the reasonableness when it was delivered by second class post nearly two weeks later. It had been shoved into an old horse feed bag and cellotaped. Yes, that's what I said - an old horse feed bag! Jeez, the stink was something else.
And the stamps costs less than two pounds.
And I would have had to get the blimmin dress drycleaned to get rid of the oats and barley and rye and dust and ..... you get the picture.
Not acceptable, I said in an email to her. I'm sending it back and I want a refund.
Absolutely clueless!

That is one of the best ebay stories I have ever heard!
Someone should compile a book!

sounds very non legitimate to me. I pay for the goods instantly and expect them to be dispatched within next couple of days. When I sell, I plan my time so that I can pack&dispatch the same/following day after auction finished and payment received. Day after is the latest I've ever posted something. And no, I'm not a business seller on ebay, it's not my job, only a hobby. It's a real shame about people who can't give a proper service. If a seller waits a week before posting something that's a cr.ppy service to me, have to be honest.

i bought some crutches before on 2/3 Dec last year. Paid instantly.
Seller gave loads of promises that he'd sent them 2 days after I'd paid BUT they didn't arrive till 7 January postmarked 31 Dec 07.
I was well P'd off as I was hobbling around being lied to by the seller & waiting for him to post the blooming things
Then he had the cheek to email me to remind me to leave positive feedback!!!! Cheeky Monkey0 -
bushbaby1103, that's terrible that is. I was waiting once for weeks with numerous emails sent but not replied, had to get money back via Paypal after month passed and nothing received, seller got naru's soon after(powerseller) .No extreme experiences like that anymore fingers crossed, but have to wait for an item over a week occasionaly and thats more than non acceptable to me, why some people have such low standards is a question.0

Neigh they never did!!! pmsl :rotfl: perhaps she had to go by horseback to the post office and the p+p charged was to cover the horse minding fee whilst she was inside buying stamps!?!?!? lol ♥0
